Q: Looking back, was there a defining moment when you knew music was going to be more than just a passion for you?
A: When I got into studying music production at the Popakademie in Mannheim, Germany.
Q: What role does experimentation play in your production process, especially as you explore Minimal Techno more deeply?
A: I like to experiment with different ways to start a song — sometimes inspired by another track, other times through jamming or creating atmospheric sounds. I also push sound design, like testing how many OTTs I can add to a growl.
Q: How do you approach storytelling in your music without lyrics?
A: Often the theme comes from processed vocals, sometimes random words with heavy effects. The mood is often built through sound design and chord composition, with my RC-505 Loopstation helping to create a mystical, bass-heavy vibe.
Q: Your catalog spans multiple labels and styles. How do you maintain consistency while still evolving creatively?
A: It’s all about what I enjoy. If I hear music that makes me pull a bass face, that’s my inspiration.
Q: How has Berlin influenced your music?
A: Berlin has definitely impacted my sound. Feeling a track with a crowd on the dance floor is completely different from hearing it alone in a studio.
Q: What’s been the most unexpected lesson you’ve learned in the electronic music industry?
A: You never really “arrive” — each goal you reach opens the door to the next.
Q: Do you see your music as a reflection of your personal life or more of an escape?
A: It’s the vibe and energy I feel in the moment when creating.
Q: If you could collaborate with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be?
A: I’d love to create a minimal techno track with Johann S. Bach.
Q: What’s something outsiders misunderstand about the electronic music scene?
A: People think it’s just partying and noise, but there’s a deep culture of creativity and emotional expression behind it.
Q: How do you stay grounded despite international support and chart success?
A: I love listening to music — that love keeps me going.
Q: What does success mean to you now compared to when you started?
A: At 18, I thought success was 20k SoundCloud plays. Now, it’s being able to make a living doing what I love.
Q: If your music were a physical space, what would it look like?
A: A rollercoaster of colour and emotion — grounding you while pushing you forward.
