BLK&WHT - Control EP
San Francisco-based DJ and producer BLK&WHT makes a bold return with the release of his latest work, the Control EP — a two-track powerhouse that also serves as the debut release on Us & Machines, an independent label founded by Jacob Buck, also known as Pressure Makes Diamonds. This release signals a new creative chapter not only for BLK&WHT but also for a label rooted in community, trust, and future-facing club music. Driven by a deep connection to club culture and informed by years of experimentation, Control is a raw, pulsing embodiment of underground energy. The title track, "Control", delivers peak-time tech house pressure: a gritty fusion of industrial percussion, hypnotic vocal fragments, and an unrelenting bassline built to move warehouse dance floors. On the flip side, "Arts & Fashion" takes a deeper, more cinematic approach. With filtered synth layers, warm sub textures, and looping vocal motifs, it creates a vibe that’s tailor-made for sunrise sets and introspective club moments. BLK&WHT, real name Leonard Isaac Cohen, has been part of the Bay Area’s underground scene since 2015. Raised between Wichita, Kansas, Texas, New York, and Los Angeles, his wide-ranging influences span trap, dubstep, progressive house, and now a finely honed take on tech house and minimal club sounds. His recent success with Out Past 2 on Dirtybird Records established him as a rising force in the scene.
